Phelps Scholarship Fund

An endowment fund of $101,000 has been established at Dartmouth College by a gift from the estate of the late Clarence L. 'Phelps '01 of Ishpeming, Mich. Income from the endowment will go to scholarships, with preference for students from Ishpeming High School.

Mr. Phelps, who died in July 1964, was for 25 years superintendent of schools at Ishpeming. Earlier he had been principal of Ishpeming High School. He retired from the educational field in 1942.
