Rome Trip Next
JULY 1973

A nine-day trip to Rome and Florence, November 7 through 16, has been announced by the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Greater Boston as the next in its series of extremely successful overseas jaunts. With a format similar to that of the group trip to Paris and Bourges last fall, alumni will meet with Dartmouth students studying in Florence, have lunch with the Italian families hosting them, and tour the university. The art historian who serves as the Dartmouth liaison in Florence will conduct a lecture tour of the art treasures in Florence. In Rome also there will be an opportunity to meet with undergraduates studying there and with Dartmouth alumni.

The Boston alumni club's group trip to London in May was oversubscribed, and early reservations for the trip to Italy are recommended by Walter Yusen '43, who is in charge. Eligible for the special group fare are all Dartmouth alumni (and immediate families) and Dartmouth parents who are dues-paying members of a Dartmouth alumni club. Eligibility can be established by joining a local club or by writing to Walter Yusen, 43 Cornell Road, Wellesley, Mass. 02181, about becoming a dues-paying member of the Boston club.

On Boston's four group trips to date, no cancellation involved financial loss unless it was done within the final week when both airline and hotel charges had already been paid by the agency. Applications will be processed according to the date received, and early contact with Mr. Yusen will be to the advantage of those interested in joining the Dartmouth party.
