Class president Sandy McGinnis informs me that our 10th Reunion is scheduled for June 13-15, 1975. Please note these dates, and plan to make the pilgrimage to Hanover. Bob Bartles and Ron Schram are organizing the reunion effort, and it promises to be a gala affair. Sandy tells me that he has invited Thad Seymour to join us for our Reunion.

A '64 "mini-reunion" has been planned in Hanover for October 12. Since this is our reunion year, '64s should be able to order good football seats for the Princeton football game on that date. Following the tilt, '64s are invited to meet at the DOC House for drinks and dinner. Room reservations in the Hanover area should be made as soon as possible, since Princeton weekend is always a popular one.

Sandy also informs me that the Class responded well to last year's Alumni Fund drive. '64 exceeded last year's total of $13,000, and we hope to do even better during our reunion year.

Sandy writes that he and Louise and the kids are still very happy in Boston, where Sandy is vice president and account supervisor at Humphrey, Browning, MacDougall, Inc. The McGinnis clan rents the top two floors of an old townhouse on Beacon Hill, and on weekends escape to a lakeside retreat which Sandy built in Central New Hampshire.

Lee Chilcote Jr. has been honored as "Outstanding Jaycee" for 1973-74 by the Cleveland Junior Chamber of Commerce. A Thayer School graduate, Lee served with the Marine Corps in Vietnam where he made an outstanding record as a platoon leader with the Infantry. He then went on to earn his law degree at Hastings College of the Law and is now a practicing attorney with Hine & Flory in Cleveland. Lee Sr. is a member of the Class of 1930.

Congratulations are in order for Jeff Soles, who recently married Mary Carr, a candidate for Ph.D. degree in Classical Art and Archaeology at Yale. Jeff" met Mary at the American School of Classical Studies in Athens, where he was a Fulbright Scholar. Jeffs book, Handbook to Gournia, (about a village in Crete), will be publishe'd by Lycabettos Press in Athens this fall.

Cheers to Sandy Wurmfeld, recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship last spring. Sandy is teaching art at Hunter College, and will be completing a project in painting in connection with his fellowship.

And cheers to Brad and Barbara Evans who have joyously announced the birth of their first child, Peter Bradford Evans, on July 14.

Herb Wong is alive and well and practicing ear, nose, throat and maxillofacial surgery in Eugene, Oregon. A fourth generation Coloradan, Herb packed up his wife and daughter and moved from Denver which, he claims, is rapidly becoming a "second Los Angeles."

Pete Koenig reports that he has retired from his role as assistant county prosecutor of Mercer County, New Jersey, and is enjoying the private practice of law in the Trenton area.

Jeff Shendell writes that he and Marsha (and their new son, Derek Garth Shendell, born on May 13) are living in Dayton, Ohio. Jeff is the general manager of Rike's Department Store in the Dayton Mall, and has been doing a lot of traveling to Europe. Recently, Jeff served as a guest lecturer at the Michigan State University Business School, and has been invited back to address classes in retailing. He reports that Tad Kiefaber is living in the Dayton area. When Jeff gets to New York, he invariably runs into Eric Taylor, Gary Foote, and Sabin Danziger.

Doug Montgomery has been appointed director of the Wood Institute for Local and Regional Studies and Assistant Professor of Politics at Lake Forest College in Illinois. Doug's wife Judy will be teaching English on a part-time basis at the College.

Finally, Hal Weiler should be settled by now in his ophthalmology residency in the Washington, D.C., area. Hal, Brenda and their daughter Amy have moved from the Jacksonville area where Hal served as a Navy flight surgeon.

That's all for now. Please write with news about yourself or other '64s. Later.
