Chuck Panettiere is a man of many interests here in Miami. Chuck is the president and sole owner of International Mechanical Systems, Inc., a mechanical contracting firm. Although the recession has hit the construction business fairly hard in Florida, Chuck's other interests and activities keep him going. He is the managing director of Florida Caribbean Development Company which is a leading land development concern. Chuck is also vice president of research and development for Radio Haiti. Chuck, his wife Becky, and three children live in Miami Beach.

Andy Toorock has been promoted to vice president of sales for Fanny Farmer Candy Shops, Inc.

Larry Hampton joined Carl Ally Europe, the pan-European advertising agency based in Paris in early September. Larry will become president of the company at the end of the year. Before coming to Ally, Larry was with Glendinning International where he was director general of the company's French subsidiary and execu- tive vice president of Glendinning Europe. During Larry's five years with this marketing consulting group, he worked in virtually every country in Europe. Before going to Glendinning, Larry was with Benton and Bowles in New York as vice president and supervised the accounts of some of the country's leading corporations. For those who can afford European travel these days, Larry can be reached at Carl Ally Europe, 41 Avenue George V, Paris 75008, France, Telephone: 225-42-35. I am sure he would be delighted to hear from any '58s passing through.

Dick Shanaman has been appointed senior vice president and treasurer of Skaggs Companies, Inc. As such, Dick is responsible for long-range financial planning, debt and equity financing and budgeting. Dick was formerly president of Pacific Intermountain Capital, was San Francisco vice president of F. S. Smithers, a New York investment banking firm, was vice president of the Bank of California and served with the national division of the First National City Bank of New York. Skaggs is a public company which operates drug centers in 17 states and is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Congratulations, Dick.

This column is for one purpose and that is to serve the Class of 1958. The more I hear from you, the more news you will hear from me. Please drop me a note and let me hear how you are doing. I would particularly welcome photographs - black and white only - showing you, your family, classmates, at functions, etc.

I wish all of you a healthy and prosperous New Year and a happy holiday season.
