'45s made the news this past month. The way this Magazine is distributed, 'twill be "old news" by the time you read it, but nevertheless it's all worth repeating. Judge Joe Michael was featured on the NBC evening news in March as he announced the anti-oil refinery vote of his fellow citizens of Durham, N.H. Bill Merrill's smiling face was detected in a news photo of the Watergate investigating committee. Dick 0wen is the newly appointed U.S. District Judge for the southern district of New York. Howie Sawyer is the new chief of anesthesiology at the Maine Medical Center, Portland.

Gene Wilkin is the president of Wilkin Associates, management consultants for firms connected with the broadcasting industry. Gene is still based in Spokane.

Another sad loss to report - Andy Dewing died March 22 at his home in Wellesley, Mass. His obituary will make a later AlumniMagazine. The Class extends its sincere sympathy to his family.

The following men tell their own stories:

Ray O'Crowley .. "will be returning to Strategic Air Command for assignment as deputy commander for logistics at 381 Strategic Missile Wing (Titan II), McConnell AFB Wichita, Kansas. For the last two years have been the senior liaison officer with the Korean minister of national defense and the chairman of their joint chiefs of staff in Seoul. Was promoted to colonel last year."

Jim Drum . . "Still representing Ford Motor Co. as marketing director in Venezuela. Just celebrated 25 years overseas and 26 years with the company. Now planning for a retirement home some place in the New England area as Pam and I are looking forward to again enjoying the change of seasons. Our oldest son Jim was married in December and the youngest remains with us in Caracas to finish high school after many years being away at prep school in the states."

Art Pounds .. "We just shipped the last "ounce" off to college - Tom started at Iowa State in engineering this past fall. Jean and I rattle around a bit but aren't knocking it - in fact it's just kind of great - after Peggy finishes this year and we no longer have the two-in-school-at-once miseries, we might just hop a plane for 'east of the Hoosic' doin's."

Peg and Bob Tirrell.. "Our lives move on from one deadline to another but we are very happy being able to be involved - square and round dancing occupy much of our spare time - it really is a great couple activity and we've met many wonderful people thru it both here and abroad. Bob's very pleased to be a full time Jerseyite and no more commuting to a NYC office - just walk down the hall and you're there! All three children gave us a surprise 25th wedding anniversary party in June - my, how time has flown."

John Jorgensen .. "Elected president-treasurer of Parsons Bros., Inc., Bridgeport, Conn. Am a member of the advisory board of the City National Bank and have been re-named park commissioner for the town of Trumbull, Conn., and to a second term on the board of governors of the Algonquin Club, Bridgeport. Retiered from the U.S. Army Reserves with 24 years of Service as a major. Daughter Karen in eighth grade and son Dane entered Staunton Military Academy in Virginia this year. Wife Doris (25 years this June) is active in the Algonquin Club, historical society, and acting as taxi driver for the family."

See you in June...
