The Ghost of Moosilauke Past
July 1974

Ever been haunted by a desire to return to the Hanover Plain as a freshman and sign up for a DOC Freshman Trip? Well, step back into time. The Outing Club is going to recreate that experience in the form of an Alumni Trips Program on September 19-22, 1974. Based at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge, the DOC will provide a full four day (three nights) out-door program featuring day and overnight hiking trips, canoeing, fishing, educational field trips, with complete freedom to choose one's activity.

Perhaps the most significant part of the DOC Alumni Trip is the opportunity it affords to renew ties with old classmates, enjoy the Outing Club outdoor fellowship, and above all, to re-affirm an alliance with the Dartmouth outdoor spirit. Alumni will be taking part in all activities with DOC undergraduate members as well as other alumni. Personalities from the Dartmouth faculty and administration will also be on hand for the program. And don't forget the world-famous DOC Ravine Lodge cuisine - apple pies, steak barbecues, and a cup of coffee that even Ross McKenney would have liked. Doc Benton, the mysterious ghost of Moosilauke-past will, as always, be on hand.

Alumni and any members of their families 16 years of age and older are eligible to apply for the program. Cost of the entire trip, including all room, board, transportation, and activities will be $50 per person. The DOC can accept only a maximum of 75 people. For further information and trip applications, write (do not send any money) to David S. von Loesecke '74, Dartmouth Outing Club, P.O. Box 9, Hanover, N.H. 03755.
