By a recent change, the October number of the Magazine will be the first of the new year. It has allowed us an extra month, but it has caught your secretary off balance, helped too by the scarcity of mail in the interim. Nevertheless we have notes from two of the faithful. JohnThompson, of course, as usual, but now in a somewhat angry mood. His bank records are not in agreement with his own. He "feels like a dog with his first invasion of fleas."

Next in order is faithful Mabel Greeley. She is now living in Garwood Home, because the time had come when she would be alone much of the time at her real home. She wants her copy of the Magazine and other business papers to continue to go to 1610 Parkhaven, but personal mail may be addressed to 1515 North Market Street, Champaign, Ill. 61820. Last winter, Mabel taught her conversational French classes and expects to do so again. She played Martha in Arsenic and Old Lace at 89 years of age and with poor eyesight. She spends weekends with her family.

We are now but 22 in number with 30 on the widows list. Consider this: the smaller our numbers become, the greater the individual responsibility on the living. So, keep your letters coming.
