Classmates will be delighted to hear that Duze Lounsberry, our champion class agent, has been recovering steadily from an extended and serious illness. He was able recently to attend a class agents' meeting in Hanover. At this meeting Duze received a citation with plaque for his success in collecting for the 1975 Alumni Fund from Fifteeners the largest amount ever given by a 60-year reunion class.

In his letter to me Duze included a picture of the new Rupert Thompson Ice Arena which is used for both hockey and basketball. We will all look forward to seeing this new facility the next time we are in Hanover.

George Dyke and Madeleine spent the usual several months in Wyoming, the 31st year for such a visit. They described the view as follows; "looking out across Antelope Flats at the amazing Tetons, slightly snow capped, against the bluest sky you ever saw."

Classmates will be sorry to hear that Dave Hitchcock is in the Wallingford Convalescent Home, Wallingford, Conn. 06492. He may appreciate cards from those who knew him best.

One of my most appreciated Christmas cards was from Mary and Chester Phillips, lowa City, lowa. Professor Phillips, as you remember, was elected by the Class of 1915 as the most popular professor at the time of our graduation. In 1920 he went to the University of lowa to establish a School of Commerce, later known as the School of Business Administration. He has received many honors over the years including the naming of a new building, Phillips Hall. Enclosed with the greeting was a copy of the News of the School of Business Administration containing an article commemorating the 93rd birthday of Dean Emeritus Phillips. The Dean is in a nursing home because of difficulty in getting around, but he would be delighted to hear from some of his old students. Cards would reach him addressed to his home at 721 N. Linn Street, lowa City, lowa, 52240.

Word was just recently sent to me by Arthur N. Nichols '45 of the death of his mother Charity Nichols on December 5, in Topeka, Kansas. She had attended several reunions with her husband, our classmate Arthur C. Nichols, prior to his death in 1965. Charity had been in ill health for some time but her son said she enjoyed reading the newsletter and class notes with great interest.

It is with regret that we report in another part of this Magazine the deaths of one more classmate, Tony Simoneau.
