The author ran into Bill Coulson at the Attorney General's Trial Advocacy Institute in Washington, D.C. Bill went to law school at the University of Illinois, then he clerked for two Federal Judges - one in East St. Louis, the other in Chicago. After those two years as a law clerk, Bill spent six months in private practice, two months in Europe, and a month in L.A. Since Labor Day, Bill has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Chicago, specializing in mail fraud and narcotics. Bill is still single.

Ken Paul has written his annual epistle. Ken is still with the Riverside Press-Enterprise, but has moved up to assistant news editor. "Reporting was growing frustrating," Ken writes, "and the new job, while seldom making me feel like Superman, does make me feel a little more like Perry White." Other than a lot of work, KIP occupies his time playing baksetball for the company team, "The Gnus," watching and reading.

Jim Bailer is doing very well. Jim attended Cornell Law School and is presently with one of the Capital's most prestigious law firms, Covington & Burling. Jim spends most of his time litigating on behalf of various states. Jim married Marlene Berlin a while ago. Marlene worked in D.C.'s foster care program. Now she is back in school (Catholic University), where she hopes to soon receive a Masters degree in social work.

Bill Berensen has led a varied life since graduation. His first stop after leaving Hanover was Vanderbilt, where he earned a Ph.D. in political science. From Vanderbilt, Bill moved on to teach at Fisk University. After a year at Fisk, he journeyed to Uruguay, where he worked for the Ford Foundation. Bill left South America after two years to return to M.I.T. as a Research Fellow. After a while in Cambridge, Bill took a job with Litton & Co., a consulting firm in Washington, D.C. At the moment, he is in his first year of Law school at Boston University.

John Skirius dropped a line to inform us that he received a Ph.D. at Harvard in History and Romance Languages with an accent on Latin America. John is now an Assistant Professor of Hispanic Studies at Brown. He also serves as the adviser to the Interdisciplinary Latin American Studies Program.

A source reports that Mike Skaredoff went to Rutgers Med for two years, where he met Georgiana Carolas, to whom he is now wedded. Mike then transferred to Texas Tech Med, where he graduated in 1975. He is now in his first year of residency in ob and gyn at Kansas City General Hospital, which is part of the University of Missouri.

We recently spoke to Jim Coplan, whose letter appeared in this space last month. The Goatman reports that Dick Jensen is still working on his Ph.D. thesis in math, having picked up a Masters in '71. Dick still has his 750 cc. Norton Atlas. Lyle and Kathy Nyberg have a baby girl, Alexandra. Bob Anthony, who many '69s have tried to locate, appears to be a resident in psychiatry in D.C. Jeff and Susie Safer live in Cape Elizabeth, Me., with their two daughters. Jeff doctors at Maine Medical Center in Portland. John Person labors at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

Bill and Pam Jaspersohn tell us that they live in Moscow, Vt. Bill is a freelance writer, with a very fine children's book presently being reviewed by publishers. Among other things, Bill has also been submitting reviews and interviews to Harper's Book Letter. Pam is a potter who has no difficulty selling her creations. Bill and Pam saw Dave Luce last fall. Dave is a doctor with the Indian Health Service in northern Arizona where he works with the Hopi Indians.

Rick Willets married Joan Butler last December in a very pleasant ceremony in Andover, Mass. Mike Reider attended with an equally pleasant woman named Andrea. Mike earned a Masters from Penn State in mathematics last fall. He now teaches at his old high school in Philadelphia. Rick and Joan teach together at Haverhill (Mass.) High School.
