Here is a list of those who attended the peerless Florida Pow-Wow. The ebullient undergrads included Pam Gile, Jan Hudson, Wendy Simila, Dan Murphy, Tom Miller, Doug Cohen, Jeff Zesiger, Bill Hutchinson, Jay Rising, Larry Guillemette, Jim Vailas, Dave Wright, Jim Gruber, Mark Ringiewiz, Fred Kniebel, Ann Fritz, Leslie Mandel, Nancy Lebowitz, Greg Melvin, B. Tom Bryant very thoughtfully sent me the Boston Globe obituary about Tom Shirley. I am sending it on to Dick White, who is doing the memorial write up for the Magazine.

George von Kapff notified me of the death of Marshall Leavitt the first part of April. FredMerry, Edwin Ferguson, and George attended the funeral.

One of my "investigators" informs me of the Dartmouth mementos, a dozen in number, that appropriately surround Jake Binham in Mun-sonville. I will not try to describe all of them but am sure they inspire Jake in his editorial efforts. The latest of these is the magnificent desk set presented to him at the greatest Pow-Wow ever.

George von Kapff reports a letter from HenriVan Zelm's daughter telling of Henri's severe illness involving a stroke and an amputation of his right leg below the knee. He seemed to be doing quite well but Stan Weld, secretary of 1912, has written that Henri died April 14, at Hartford Hospital. He enclosed an obituary from the Hartford Courant.

To get back to the Pow-Wow again - I did make mention previously of Lex Proctor's gracious contributions to its complete success. His artistic ability is astounding and certainly rates a lusty Wah-Who-Wah. Of course I suspect that Mabel is at least a very effective catalyst in the production of those necklaces for the ladies, "bolos" for the men, paintings, and even the "Big Green" punch.

Many of us were perturbed by the absence of Monk and Ethel Cameron. They have been very active in recent Pow-Wows. We hope they have fully recovered from their disabilities.

I just received a letter from George Stoddard part of which follows: "George, I would appreciate your help in promoting the 1918 Football Weekend, September 25th, — Dartmouth vs Univ. of N.H. We will meet with 1919 for cocktails and luncheon in the Drake Room, and with 1917 for post-game cocktails and dinner at same place. Similar gatherings of these three contemporary classes have been most enjoyable. Also, — 1918 will be celebrating its 62ndAnniversary of matriculation at Dartmouth! The Hanover Inn is holding a number of rooms for us but early reservation by writing Miss Carey is recommended. If you will include this message in each issue of the Magazine appearing before September 25 it will help generate attendance."
