The Alumni Fund appears to be on target to reach its 54.5 million goal for this year. As of June 8, the campaign had recorded $3.6 million in gifts and pledges from just over 15,000 donors, representing a pace some $360,000 and 350 donors ahead of last year. Some 7,000 more gifts are anticipated during the final campaign weeks.
A major factor in this year's achievement has been the performance of several reunion classes. The 50-year class of 1926 anticipates a final total of over $600,000, while three other classes - 1932 (45th), 1936 (40th), and 1951 (25th) - are all aiming for reunion goals of $250,000 or more. The 60 year class of 1916 has already reached a reunion record with contributions of more than $40,000.
