I'm looking for a few good men in the $100- and-up range.... No, you don't have to be able to type... just send a cheque to the Dartmouth Alumni Fund which is rolling along at a rapid pace under the able leadership of JohnEngelman. The message this year is to "give realistically," so sit back, relax, take stock of where you are this year compared with last, chug a couple of "green machines" and give realistically.

If for some outrageous reason you think this is not the appropriate cause, consider the plight of Doug Jewett, now running for Seattle City Attorney, after six years as a deputy prosecuting attorney. His campaign costs a mere $55,000 ... make cheques payable to Friends of Doug Jewett, P.O. Box 21021, Seattle, Wash., 98111. Also in Seattle are attorneys Rolf Borgersen,Dirk Ehlert, and environmental consultant RickWilliams.

Best-job-of-the-year award goes to JackNoon, a fiction writer who teaches winter courses for Dartmouth Outward Bound and spends summers as the resident manager of the Ravine Lodge at Moosilauke. John and PamMeehan have also settled in God's country and are parents of a rugged son of nine months, born with his hockey skates on. Jack is vice president of Putnam Hospital in Bennington, Vt., and holds a master's degree in hospital administration from the University of Minnesota (1974). Dan Hedges tied the knot with Adele Oglesbee a year ago in Houston. Adele has more degrees than I have lady friends (four). Last fall, they took in the Dartmouth-Harvard game; the next day Dan ran the Dartmouth Medical School Marathon (3:26:24). Both are lawyers with the Houston law firm of Fullbright and Jaworski.

Other lawyers and former Naval officers are Phil Basquin and Phil Davey '67, who settled in the Navy town of Norfolk, Va. Phil and Patsy have a two-year-old daughter Ashley who has already filed admission papers at Dartmouth Tim and Helen O'Connor are parents of a young daughter and live in Westboro, Mass. Tim is a first-year fellow in oncology at New England Medical Center .in Boston. Bruce and Sandy Ehrenberg are hoping to be back in N.Y.C. soon, following completion of Bruce's residency in neurology at the University of Pennsylvania The Ehrenbergs have two sons and two dogs Joe and Lola Wright have moved to Houston, Tex., from Washington, D.C. Joe graduated from B.U. Law School in 1973 and was a member of the Law Review there. Steve Lunt, one of five partners in a Portland, Maine, law firm, reports that he's divorced and living with his two daughters. Frank Molloy is "enjoying life at the beach," and is now director of business and legal affairs with 20th Century Fox Records in Los Angeles. Norm Silverman, his wife and two children are in Durham, N.C., where Norm is senior resident in general and cardiothoracic surgery at Duke University Medical Center. Norm sends regards to EricStech and Al Brown. Roger and Margie Overholtand their two sons moved to New Jersey along with a job promotion for Roger. One son, who used to attend Kappa Sigma 'tails parties, is now nine old, the other is six! To round out the family and keep the men in their place, the Overholts adopted a Korean baby daughter.

In the Pacific area, Danny Tom has moved from Taiwan to Hawaii (1976) and teaches Mandarin at the University of Hawaii while working on an M.A. in teaching Chinese as a second language. David Larsen is back in San Francisco after two years in Singapore, where he set up a regional office for GATX Leasing Corporation. Arnold Resnicoff is "Chief Rabbi of Japan." As a Navy chaplain based in Yokosuka, and evidently one of the few rabbis in the country, Arnie serves members of the faith in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, diplomatic corps and civilian teachers in the Department of Defense! Wife Barbara (Radcliffe '68, Harvard Law '71) is an attorney with the Tokyo law firm, Hamada and Matsumoto.

Hearty congratulations to Peter Werner, awarded an Oscar during the Academy Awards ceremony on March 28, for his 37-minute film, In The Region of Ice. Peter is associated with the American Film Institute and has received a contract to film a TV series. The cross section of talent within our Class never ceases to amaze me!

Finally, the Dartmouth Glee Club was on tour recently and put on an outstanding performance here at Northwestern University in Chicago. It was the first time I had heard the group since 1968, and I must admit the ladies are a great addition to the Glee Club and the College. The performance was followed by an incredible bash at SAE National Headquarters. The event was sold out, and it was impressive to see the careful planning and heavy alumni support in this part of the country. Speaking of support, don't forget the Alumni Fund!
