Our class president and secretary, "Greb," has suffered a deep loss in the death of his beloved wife, Ethel. She suffered a stroke and remained in a coma to the end. Greb is not feeling up to par and has asked Head Agent LuraKenyon to contribute news items this month.

Mrs. J. Franklin Crocker, widow of "Crick," has moved to the Havenwood Retirement Home, 33 Christian Ave., Concord, N.H. 03301. She is nicely settled in one of the studio apartments adjacent to the main lodge. PerleyChurchill's widow is living there too, but she has a room in the lodge with all of its facilities.

Fern, George Liscomb's widow, lives at the Brier Pipe Apartments in Penacook, and Lura Kenyon plans to take an apartment there as soon as one is available. Possibly late summer. Lura has always said "no" to apartment living, but has resigned herself to no more snow shoveling in winter or lawn care in summer.

In response to a thank-you note to Mrs. Edward Temple for her contribution to the Alumni Fund, Lura received a warm, friendly reply that might be of interest to you. Mrs. Temple feels very much a part of of the Dartmouth family, with three generations of grads. Her husband was 1907, their son was 1937, and then a grandson was in the Class of 1964. She has come to love the College dearly and looks forward enthusiastically to the MAGAZINE. She is 92 years young, not too active, but quite well and alert. Letters like this make Lura's routine with the Fund interesting and rewarding.

The Class was saddened by the news of the deaths of Robert I. Lyon and Julian Harris. This leaves eight of our mid-ninety-year-olds to carry on for the Class. Best of luck to you all as we emerge from a real tough winter. Spring is with us now, and we all welcome it.

Word has just reached me that WilliamWildey of Meriden, N.H., suffered a stroke recently. After recuperating at Mary Hitchcock, he was moved to the Alice Peck Day Convalescent Home in Lebanon, N.H. 03766. I am sure he would welcome a note of cheer. He spent only one year at Dartmouth, but he has been a loyal supporter in the past.

This leads me to the subject of the Fund. To date 1907's participation has passed last year's total, which is very gratifying. Thank you for your response to this very worthy cause. Chins up, and keep smiling.
