'18-Up 60th Reunion

Ione and I got away from winter on January 17, arriving in Hawaii on the 18th. We had five weeks of near-perfect weather. On returning to the mainland (California), I phoned Gene Clark. He and Betty appear to be in good health and look like sure bets for the big 60th. On the other hand. Herm Whitmore reports they cannot make it because, mostly, of physical problems. They will be greatly missed. Mrs. Paul Gerrish reports that Paul's varied business activities, swim and tennis club, and tutoring services will keep him at home. Paul's health is excellent, but his busy seasons are spring and summer. They will also be greatly missed.

However, something tells me not to give up entirely on the Whitmores and Gerrishes. I hope a last-minute change in plans may allow them to be with us.

We hear that Stump Barr's physical problems have become more troublesome and may curtail his reunion activities somewhat. I know that some of us will volunteer to help in any way we can.

Dick White is leaving no stone unturned to make our last official reunion a resounding success, and it should be just that.

George von Kapf is doing his best to make our 60th Reunion Alumni Fund Drive the best ever, and I am sure he will have our wholehearted support.
