A recent call from Andy Hotaling indicates he and his wife will be moving to Chicago in June or July. Andy will be in general surgery at Northwestern University Hospital, his wife affiliated with the University of Chicago in psychiatry. Dave and Tina King now live in West Haven, Conn., with daughter Rachel. Dave is a professor of law at University of Bridgeport and he and Mark Waterhouse handle interviewing of Dartmouth applicants from the Milford/West Haven area. Wallace and GaleDunlap are expecting their first child in May (Cambridge, Mass.). Doug Jewett, you may recall, was elected city attorney of Seattle in 1977, the youngest city attorney to head a major city law office in the United States. He has just begun the second year of a four-year term there and asks if this is worth a "wah hoo wah." You bet, Doug, but what next? Mayor, governor?
Julian (Chip) Green is now head of the geology library at the University of North Carolina, if anyone needs some rocks books. The Greens have two children and reside in Carboro, N.C. Larry and Toni Eisenhauer are in Solana Beach, Calif., with their two children. In between activities as.a compulsive jogger and obtaining his commercial pilot's license, Larry has an Ob-Gyn practice. Toni, a veteran of a multitude of Kappa Sigma social affairs, was reminded of same by the movie Animal House ... shocking!
Rodney and Sandra Hawkins, of Williams Lake, B.C., announced the arrival of Rodney Holt Andresen Hawkins this past September. Skip Stech and family missed the tenth but spent a week last July at Fritz Hier's cabin in Cornish Flat, visited the campus, and took a tour of the old fraternity house. His kids wanted to know why he had so much hair in an old house picture! His Army Reserve duties took him from home (Bethesda, Md.) to Arizona to revise and update courses for the Army's intelligence school. On the way home, he presented a paper on the psychology of water conservation at an American Psychological Association meeting in Toronto. Skip is with Mathtech doing methodology studies for government agencies.
John Pierce has moved from Halifax to Calgary, Alberta, and left the teaching world for a position as senior geophysicist with Petro Canada, the national oil company. John is setting up a group to handle all interpretation of gravity and magnetics data for the company. Whereas Petro Canada is only two to three years old, its needs change on a weekly basis and keep John jumping. For you ski buffs who may need a place to hang your hat in the future, John is a scant 70 miles from Banff. Cliff Groen is still with Coudert Brothers in NYC (private practice, international law) and between overseas and other domestic assignments, found time to run in the NYC marathon last October and teaches two tax courses at New York University. Cliff crosses paths with many a greener in his business: He works with EdCohen, a professor at N.Y.U., saw TonyChoueke in both New York and Beverly Hills, had dinner with John Kirklin '67, and talked with John Breen '67. Cliffs wife, who graduated from the same class at Harvard Law, is in private practice in NYC.
Ted and Stacey Levin are in Denver with their daughter. After a year of travel in Europe and Israel, Ted is now finishing a fellowship in child psychiatry. They have frequent contact with Bill Adler in D.C. and Mike Hofman '73, Peter's younger brother. Phil and Patsy Basquin have moved to Pittsburgh where Phil has joined the law department of Westinghouse Electric.
Chuck and Cate Wright note their proximity to Exit 37 on Interstate 80 (Rockaway, N.J.) for green passersby. Chuck is title officer for the Newark office of Pioneer National Insurance and is attending Seton Hall Law School at night. Chuck says Jim and MarthieHoffman are in NYC where Jim graduated a year ago from Columbia School of Architecture. He also reports that Glenn and MarieCranker are in Montreal where Glenn is a "successful" import-export lawyer. Chuck asks, "Why don't I hear anything about other Tabards?" Where are you guys? Rumor has it, Chuck, that they were pretty busy during the filming of Animal House.
Bob and Esther Hornik, with their two boys, have moved to Philadelphia where Bob is associate professor of communication at the University of Pennsylvania. Peter Dunn (Oakland, Calif.) has resigned from Touche Ross management services last September to join a local management consulting group with nine staff members. Tony and Priscilla Marzoni are living in Palo Alto with their three children (who can match that?). Tony is a member of the Palo Alto Medical Clinic and practices general surgery at Stanford University Hospital (where he trained) and is now clinical instructor in the department of surgery.
Jerry and Diane Smith wrapped up a stay in Florida, where Jerry completed dental school, and have moved to Jackson, Ala., where he has a' private practice. Jerry comments on a most unique leisure activity: "Spend weekends calling turkeys ... no kidding. Incredible wildlife in this area and calling these turkeys is a real art." Sounds like an outstanding location and activity for a class gathering, Jerry. Assuming you're a good caller and the turkeys come running, what do you do then? In a life where many of us are constantly trying to avoid contact with turkeys, this is a real switch! Please note my new address. I am now (at last) the proud owner of a home.
