The annual fall reunion was held over the September 20th weekend. The weather was gorgeous, and the football team cooperated by beating Penn. Present at one time or another Were the Sandoes, Robinsons, Martins, McCrillises, DeMonds, Max Huntoons, Hinds, John Williams, Nock Wallis, Marj Huntington, and Kitty Larmon. Kitty was laid up with a bad cold, and the Max Nortons also were under the weather. As usual we had a class dinner on Friday night and a luncheon with 1918 on Saturday noon. The cocktail party at Kitty's was the usual success, despite the absence of the hostess, who was confined to the second floor. Her daughter and son acted very capably in her absence.

At the class meeting Chet Demond reported on the state of the treasury, and it was voted to increase the dues to $l5 next year. This is caused by the increased cost of the books we buy as memorial gifts. Nock Wallis reported on the alumni fund and John McCrillis reported for the estate planning committee. It was voted to have the reunion next year on the September 19th weekend, which is the occasion of the Princeton game.

I talked to Jack Clark on the telephone. He was planning a trip to New York and New Jersey. This is the first time he has been off the Cape in ten years. A change in address from Margaret Chadwell indicates she has moved to an apartment in La Jolla, Calif. John Williams plans to spend the winter in Hanover. He did his usual fine job planning for the reunion. ChetDeMond has given up golf but continues to play a lot of bridge.

The Stu Russells had hardly reached the Cape when Stu came up with a gall bladder problem. He was rushed to the Cape Cod Hospital, where they took it out. He recuperated in fine shape and returned to Florida on October 1.

The Sandoes stayed on in Hanover for an extra week. I presume Nick wanted to indoctrinate the bride thoroughly with Dartmouth lore.
