The warm weather is on its way, along with our class reunion (June 19-21). Make sure to let Mark Woodward know if you plan to attend. Also, don't forget the Alumni Fund - there still is plenty of time to participate.
The change in administration in Washington has left Jim Stearns unscathed. He recently became a deputy assistant secretary in the Department of Education, and the youngest person in government to hold a post at that level.
Bruce Leiter was recently engaged to Meredith Ann Carpenter of East Providence, R.I. Bruce is a radiologist at Boston City Hospital and' a graduate of Columbia University Medical School.
New to parenthood are Eric Kankainen and his wife Kathy, who have a son Matthew. Eric is a registered professional engineer with the firm of E. W. Allen & Associates in Salt Lake City, Utah.
John Chambers and his wife Terry are enjoying the San Diego area, where John is a building contractor. Luis Colon is also basking in sunshine, in Guaynabo, P.R. Luis works for Marriott Corporation as a regional controller for three of their operations in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. He reports that Larry Cohn is a tax attorney for the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C., and that David Schifani was married last May. David is a teacher in Albuquerque, N.M.
Another bachelor who bit the dust is Jeff Wallace. Jeff married Sarah Kane last September, honeymooned in France, returned to New York City, and bought a co-op apartment. His wife is a 1973 graduate of Green Mountain College.
Fred Bickford has returned to New Hampshire and begun work for a geologic concern in Laconia. Another New Englander is Neale Duffett, who resides in Portland, Maine. Neale graduated last May from the Maine School of Law and was admitted to the bar there in October. He was shortly thereafter appointed an assistant district attorney for Cumberland County, Maine.
In the Windy City, Dick Donahue and BillGerek are continuing their legal careers. Dick is a litigator with Baker and McKenzie, and Bill
is a tax attorney with Greenberger and Kaufman. Jim Gottschalk and Wade Judge are experts on the real estate market in Chicago, both working for the real estate development firm of La Salle Partners. Pat Martin is also in the same field here, working for the Abacus Group.
