Peering into a near-empty mailbag, we found one item: Last month we wrote about Michael Cotsworth's new venture, Capital Gain Investments, a real estate investment and management firm based in Los Altos, Calif. This month we read that the firm has acquired its first apartment complex, a 46-unit building located in San Jose, Calif., for approximately $2 million. CGI/Hermitage Ltd., a California limited partnership, took title to the property after three months of negotiations. Mike and his partner will serve as the general partners in the venture.
