A card from Jack Johnson announces the arrival of their first great-granddaughter, Abigail Johnson Kortz. Her dad is Jack's oldest grandson, presently interning at Duke Hospital in Durham, N.C.

Am indebted to both Chink Chamberlain and Jerry Shaw for news of Elliot Sharp. They sent me a newspaper clipping and photo of Elliot opening up his birthday cards from the Early Birds at the Weymouth Tennis Club, where Elliot celebrated his 90th birthday. He continues to play doubles, 6:30 to 8:30 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings; he plays singles with his cousin on Tuesdays; and lately he has been playing doubles with a group of lawyers on Saturday mornings.

News from Mrs. Thomas Hughson (widow of Fred Rosenheim) advises that her two grandsons (their father is Thomas Hughson '55) - Fred, Yale '83, and Bill, Loomis '82 - completed hiking the entire length of the Appalachian Trail this past summer. They started April sat Springer Mt., Ga., and finished August 24, 2,123 miles away at Mt. Katahdin, Maine - a wonderful experience all the way. Bill was the youngest to do this in 1981.

Jeanette Reynolds's two granddaughters were married last August, one on the Cape and one at Underhill, Vt. Though she is not allowed to drive her car, she still gets around with the help of friends and family.

News was received of the death of Andrew McTigue on November 18, 1981. An obituary will appear in the AIUMNI MAGAZINE.
