Transmitted by Treasurer Al Frey from Dresden, Maine:
Jim Parkes writes from Rumson, N.J., that he is now a great-grandfather, having served well his period of being six times a grandfather. All the progeny - seven of them - are girls. Maybe some of them will enroll at Dartmouth in the future!
From John Felli in Southold, N.Y.: "Summer fast in flight. Still hanging on. Cheers!"
Wes Jones continues to enjoy Florida retirement, but is sorry to be so far from Hanover.
From Ray Hutchinson, Chatham, Mass.: "Best to you, Al, and your loved ones."
From Cohoes, N.Y., Stan Conway writes: " 1985 is a long way in the future. I am playing it day by day and I hope to see you in 1985."
The town clerk of Mason, N.H., Charlie Crathern, says, "The New Hampshire hills keep me in shape." (Laura and Bill fully agree with you, Charlie.)
Larry Lovejoy asks Al if Dresden, Maine, is near New Harbor, where his daughter lives. He is still "hanging on." (Keep it up, Larry. We must all hang in there together!)
Congratulations go to Ned Shnayerson, M.D., F. A.C.S., of Park Avenue in New York City. He is still answering calls from old patients, "which always helps the ego."
Nate Whiteside and Hib Richter continue to keep their pencils sharp and active.
Your secretary has received a brief notice of the passing of Lawrence H. Tinker, a nongraduate of our class. He long ago made known his disinterest in Dartmouth affairs and no word has been received from him since 1934 until this brief notice of his passing in 1981 came to the Alumni Records Office. No near kin is mentioned. His last address is given as: 943 San Carlos Drive, Fort Myers Beach, Fla. 33931. Any information any classmates may have concerning Mr. Tinker should be sent to the Office of Alumni Records, Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H. 03755.
Special warm wishes for good health in the new year go out to all the class of '20, and especially to Earl Bruce, Sam Center, Gugger Fiske, John Lappin, Horace Masse, Sig Sigler, and Ned De Rouville.
Adios, amigos!
