Here it is November 29 as this is being written. Our first snowfall for this season came a few days ago. Although it covered the grass and evergreens with a white coat, today it is disap- pearing very quickly with the fog and higher temperatures. Nights are cold, days warming up, because good Old Sol insisted on not allow- ing the atmospheric elements to thwart his giving the world what nature intended him to furnish light and warmth.

Plenty of action was going on up here in October and November. October brought us the class presidents' breakfast, the Dartmouth Night Festivities, and the football game with Harvard. In November came the Class Head Agents' Weekend with a candle-light dinner on Friday night and a breakfast meeting on the following morning. At the dinner there were about 50 class agents present with some other guests. Awards were given out in the various categories. Your head agent and more importantly, your class of 1917 were awarded the Andrew J. Scarlett Award for the most outstanding record in the Alumni Fund for classes more than 60 years out of the College. It was a great night for our class. Many thanks to all who helped achieve this subagents, classmates, and also widows.

Mixed up with all these activities were the tingling football games of the Ivy League which had all of us on the edge of our seats whether listening to these contests at home on the radio or sitting on the bleachers in a stadium. There was no telling what the result would be until the very last whistle blew.

This is my last whistle until I can put out a newsletter later!

I regret to have to add the late news that notice has just been received of the death of Raymond Baxter on November 16, 1982. The obituary will be in this or a subsequent issue.
