Our class meeting was held prior to the Cornell victory on October 22. In addition to the class officers, in attendance were former treasurer and Hanover resident Jay Pierson and Cindy and Bruce Keller. Among the topics of discussion were our memorial book program, next fall's class meeting during the Harvard weekend, the "Key 62" giving campaign, and numerous questions concerning the 25th reunion. We would like to do something unique on that occasion in addition to the traditional programs and events. One suggestion was a videotape profile of the class 25 years removed from the College. We would welcome any ideas or suggestions, as planning for this biggest of reunions will commence in the not-too-distant future. Gene Gasbarro organized another great mini-reunion after the Cornell game at Pierce's Inn. In addition to an excellent turnout of classmates and wives, we had a number of sons and daughters who are current undergraduates at the College. For those of you who have not been back for a football weekend for many years, I suggest that you plan on attending one in 1984. We will announce any pre- and post-game plans well in advance.

Congratulations to Jim Varnum, who was recently elected to the National Bank of Lebanon's board. Jim is president and chief executive officer of Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital and lives in Etna with his wife Cindy and their two children. Jim came to Hitchcock in 1978 following stints as administrator for university hospitals in Madison, Wise., and Seattle, Wash. He is also vice chairman of the New Hampshire Hospital Association and holds a faculty appointment at the College as a professor of hospital administration in the medical school.

On October 1 Robbie Sayre joined Economics Laboratory Inc. as senior vice president, human resources. He resigned his position as vice president, personnel and organization planning, of the Pillsbury Company in Minneapolis, a position he had held since 1978. He also served as personnel director, research and engineering, from 1976 to 1978. Prior to joining Pillsbury, he held other personnel management positions with Pfizer Inc. Economics Laboratory is located in St. Paul, Minn., and markets products and systems for scientific, commercial, and consumer cleaning and sanitation. Robbie and wife Aly and their two children reside in Minneapolis.

The Women's Youth League of Rhode Island recently sponsored Italian Heritage Night, with the presentation of the"Man of the Year Award" to Gene Gasbarro. In addition to being president of McGregor Manufacturing Company, Gene is active in business and civic organizations and on the boards of several service agencies. Speaking of Gene, he and wife Sandy recently visited Tom and Judy Komarek in Washington, D C. Tom was just named assistant secretary of labor for administration and management. I had a chance to personally congratulate Tom during our post-Cornell-game party and to meet one of his sons who is a sophomore at the College. Tom and Judy have another son attending the University of Massachsuetts at Amherst.

Neil Drobney formed his own company, ERM-Midwest, in September 1981. The firm is one of six nationwide affiliates in the ERM (Environmental Resources Management) group, which provides management and technical consulting services on environmental management and waste control matters. The affiliates are all independent, employeeowned operations, but each of the six companies has access to the talent pool and resource base of all the others. The company is based in Columbus, Ohio, and covers a four-state territory Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Neil hopes to have about 35 employees at the end of five years. He himself has worked as "head administrator, chief salesman, principal accountant, 24-hour errand boy, manager of all projects, the engineer of some projects, and the head recruiter." The ERM group principally serves industrial clients in hazardous waste management, hydrogeologic investigations, biological studies, environmental management services, and industrial/municipal water and wastewater treatment. Prior to forming his own company, Neil spent 15 years in contract research for Battelle Institute in Columbus.
