As is obvious from the heading above, the class of 1924 has a new secretary, Ed Winsor, and he will take over this column in the next issue of the MAGAZINE. I am happy to be in an interim position, where without embarrassment I can pay tribute both to Dana Bent, who has held the position for quite a number of years to the satisfaction of, and with the gratitude of, every member of the class, and to the new incumbent, who merits the thanks of all of us for assuming this important function, which hewill carry out with distinction, I know. We arcall distressed that Dana has felt compelled to relinquish the office because of health, and we wish him complete recovery from his recent indisposition.

A note from Peter Luitwieler '64 tells us that his mother, Sally Luitwieler, widow of our classmate Charlie Luitwieler, passed away shortly after Thanksgiving after an extended illness with arthritis and other complications. Our sympathy goes out to every member of Luit's family.

We have received a copy of "News and Views" of the Watkins United Methodist Home of Winona, Minn., with a front-page-story about the benefactions to the home by Ed Streater. We plan to include the complete article in our next newsletter.

It seems that quite a delegation from our class spends at least a part of each winter in Arizona. Dave Dyche reports interesting contacts with Dick and Pauline Morin, Dick and Theo Countryman, Harry and Frances Holmlund, and Jeannette French duringrecent sojourn near Amado, which is also Green Valley. Dick Morin reports in a lewthat he will be back in Norwich April 19, to start planning for that 60th reunion in 1984 (June 11-13). Dick also notes that Beatie Ad ams has accepted membership on the reunion committee, adding to the other members list in the March issue.

California is another haunt of several class mates. Wales "Hobey" Holbrook writes from Santa Barbara, where he is relaxing at Vista Del Monte, a teachers' retirement center, that has contacts with Franklin Rolfe, Dave an Barbara Strong, and George Anderson. Furthermore, thermore, he reports that in Palm Beach, Fla., Jerry Glauber is busy scouting the Dodgers for him at Vero Beach.

It's been a pleasure for me to be your interim columnist, and you'll hear from me again soon after commencement in the " '24-Hour Notice."
