Now hear this about summer and fall 1926 events: The 47th annual midsummer Hanover reunion is August 17-18, and rooms at the Inn are being held for early reservations. This nostalgic weekend continues to be a special time. The Harvard game on October 20 will feature a pre-game luncheon in the Oberlander lounge arrangements by Les Talbot.

Octogenarian (plus or minus) birthdays have brought welcome news to this column. Bill and Palmer Hughes were set for their annual pilgrimage to Virginia with stops in Connecticut, Maryland, and Washington to see friends. Bill told of Jake and Evid Jacobus's inland waterway travel to and from Florida ending in Savannah, and Tom andMarion Floyd-Jones's rest cure in Bermuda after Tom's recent pacemaker installation.

Charlie and Mary Starrett are back in residence at Laguna Beach after their winter California desert life in Borrego.Springs. They told about a very thoughtful note from PattenAllen of the Yosemite area in EI TorO, Calif., thanking Charlie for his assistant class agent Alumni Fund letter which indicated the solidarity of our class all these years. Retired foreign service officer in the State Department, Pat joined the class in our senior year and feels it is a great privilege to be like one who "belongs."

It took a magnifying glass for Warren Fellingham to find many friends and himself in the class graduation birthday card, but he found the task interesting. Al Morris, after careful scrutiny, guessed that he must have been in the picture but can not prove it. Hump Campbell, who postponed his graduation until 1927 to fulfill his major requirement, restricted his search to identifying classmates in cap and gown.

Welcome to Dorothy Feldman Stopford who in January in Delray, Fla., joined the class with her marriage to Bob. Their home is in Boca Raton. One of Dorothy's grandsons has just been accepted as Dartmouth '88!

We recently learned that Miriam Sharp of Greenwich, N.Y., suffered a broken shoulder when her car was hit by a driver who ran a red light. We wish Bill's widow a speedy recovery. Sad news was received of the death of Ken Weeks's widow Helen of West Hartford, Conn. Helen was an active member of the class and was remembered by many at reunions and football games. Her deep interest was the Greater Hartford Girl Scout Council, of which she had served as commissioner. It was so typical of the Weeks family that memorial contributions to the 1927 Alumni Fund of Dartmouth were suggested.

Had Hadlock kindly filed a biography for the class records, expressed thanks for the 1926 birthday greetings, and since retirement 15 years ago from E.I. duPont de Nemours, mentioned a fair amount of travel (Greece, Yugoslavia, Machu Piccu, and China to name a few). He still finds time to do volunteer work for hospital, church, and the local Kennett Square, Pa., Township Townwatch.

Tubba and Barbara Weymouth escaped the Hanover mud season by visiting Bermu- da, and then in May took off for London, Norway, Ireland, and way stations. Unfortunately they missed being in Hanover for the annual COW (Class Officers. Weekend). Those who did attend were Don Norstrand,George Scott, Les and Dot Talbot, and Artand Inez Wilcox. Charlie and Adelyn Bishop were at Duke University for the graduation of Charlie's grandson, and Jack and Dot Roberts were still basking in Fort Myers, Fla. With the Friday and Saturday business meetings concluded, the above were joined Saturday night for dinner at Jesse's restaurant by Sally Drury, Ed Emerson, and Louise Newcomb. Scotty, however, had dinner with grandson George 111 '87 and his Green Key date. George made two goals in the lacrosse victory over Princeton.

Have a wonderful summer and remember to tell us all about it!
