Among the news this month is a letter from Forest "Frosty" Gordon, who writes "Reading Sandy Wallace's letter today in the Alumni Magazine inspired me to write one of my own (on my IBM PC!). . . . "After spending my freshman year at Dartmouth, I disappeared to Australia,

never to be heard from again! I finished college at the University of Adelaide a school run in the tradition of English colleges. It was a dramatic change from Dartmouth.

"I completed a degree in genetics and psychology, then joined IBM as a systems engineer in Melbourne. After I had

worked for five years in Australia, IBM moved me to Toronto and then to Tampa, Fla. I am now a software development manager with IBM (a fact that I'm sure will amaze Hal Parks if he reads this and remembers his early attempts to teach me some programming!).

"I have an Australian wife and two Australian/American children. We love our life in Tampa but long for some cold, snowy weather. A regular ski trip to the Rockies seems to be the only way to survive. All the best to old but not forgotten friends from Dartmouth '71."

Kudos to Dave Aylward on a first-rate edition of our class newsletter. Welcome back, Dave.

Eric Ranney and name partner Robert Hishon left the Atlanta law firm of Bondurant, Miller, Hishon & Stephenson (now Bondurant, Stephenson & Smith) together with two associates to form their own firm, Hishon & Ranney. Eric's former firm had represented Hishon's wife, Elizabeth, in a landmark sex-discrimination lawsuit against another Atlanta firm, King & Spaulding, where she had been an associate. Eric is a former director and secretary of the Atlanta Bar Association and former law clerk to Hon. Ellsworth A. Van Graafeiland of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Finally, word comes from Mark Totman that there will be a class tent in Hanover on October 12 for the Colgate football game. Reserve the date now.
