I hope spring has sprung by now, wherever you are located. Reports from Hanover are that they had a beautiful winter, are currently enjoying a glorious mud season, and are looking forward to a hot summer which is presently scheduled for August 5 and 6.
Mike Madeson writes (via the good offices of treasurer Stefanie Valar) that he, his wife, and two daughters are leaving the Kibbutz Yahel after 10 years. During his tenure, Mike has been a tank driver, the treasurer of the community and responsible for a multimillion-dollar budget, director of a 300-tree date plantation, and chief diaper changer in a baby house. With those credentials, the sky's the limit.
Back in the USA, Ann Fritz Hackett, her husband, Lance, and 18-month-old Conor reside in the Washington, D.C., area where, Ann and Lance work for Strategic Planning Associates. Ann and Lance are expecting their second in May. They see John and Julia Miller Shephard and their daughter, Eliza, quite often.
John Glover has been appointed a director of new product development at Heublein, Inc., in Farmington, Conn. He is responsible for the development and introduction of new products, including Keebers Shandy and Babycham Perry. John was previously a senior branch manager for Tanqueray Gin at Somerset Importers, Ltd., of New York. He is currently living in Canton Center, Conn.
In other corporate developments, DanCobb has been named vice president, management information services, at Amfac Electric Supply Company, the nation's fifth largest electrical wholesaler, located in Folsom, Calif. In his new position, Dan will supervise an ongoing $10-million computerization program for Amfac's 88 branches in the western U.S. and Alaska. Prior to joining Amfac, Dan was a management consultant with Deloitte, Haskins, and Sells.
