Last week I attended the memorial service for Bill Bullen '22. An overflow attendance demonstrated his popularity.

I had a long conversation with Maryand Jim Davis. Mary has had a stay in the hospital but is home and getting better slowly. She said she talked recently with Helen Norton, who looks forward to the spring when she can walk to the house of her daughter which is not far away. She loves her apartment. Jim Davis keeps busy watching the animals which graze nearby. A longtime martini devotee, he has now shifted to bourbon which may or may not be progress.

The writer has had a sciatic nerve problem which has slowed him down a bit. The doctor inquired what I had done, and I told him that I had gone to three different churches for services on three successive days. He said, "That would do it."

Virginia DeMond has sold her apartment in New York City and moved to Terre Haute, Ind. Her new address is Westminster Village, 1120 Davis Avenue.
