News has been scarce this summer. I called Elmer Pillsbury but there was no answer and I suppose they are in Maine as usual. We had a clambake here at North Hill and the Sandoes came out. They are well.

I have been busy playing a small part in the establishment of the Joseph W. Martin Institute for Law and Society. The ground- breaking ceremony will take place this fall at Stonehill College. Congress unanimously approved the appropriation and President Reagan signed it into law. In the new building there will be an Ed and Bea Martin room.

Kitty Larmon is feeling better but will not drive to Buffalo this summer to visit EmilyGale. First with Cotty and later alone this has been a trip for a great many years.

I had a telephone call from FlorenceStecher. She is well.
