For all correspondence that you are sending to the secretary this year please use the new address 8 Timberlee Lane, Westford, MA 01886 rather than Box 111. We are at the same home, but runs to the Westford center post office two miles away on a daily basis become an ordeal where we could have deliveries at the house. Please keep the mailbox full. Your news is of great interest to many '45s as well as to friends from other classes.
Speaking of classmates, the alumni office in Hanover has asked that we inquire on the whereabouts of 12 of us whose present addresses are unknown. They are the following: David A. Bohacket, A.Roderick Curtin, Warren B. Gillespie,Dick M. Jordan, Anthony L. Nicolais, A.Hamilton Porter, Richard F. Raymond,Victor J. Sherman, Peter Tewksbury, Dr. Charles L. Thompson, John N. Tolley 111, and David G. Wilkes. If any of you know anything about any of them, please notify Kelly White at Research and Records in Blunt Alumni Center in Hanover.
Harry Bissell has agreed to help VicSmith in Alumni Fund activities as coordinator of the Calibre 45 efforts. Harry will be spending the winter in Stuart, Fla., while Moose Rowan writes that he will be spending February in Stuart. When this is in print it will be too late for warm weather reunions, but for future years, those of you in warm climates looking for golf, tennis, or a reunion could notify either George Barr or me. We would be happy to coordinate meetings.
Frank Aldrich apologizes for missing the Harvard mini-reunion but says "JoeMichael volunteered me to speak to students at UNH." Frank will have one and a half years of prowling about Latin America "before I hang up my hat." The UNH students must have learned a great deal from Frank after his 40 years of experience in South and Latin America.
One of my most used references for class information is the yearbook which Jack and Nancy Skakle edited and published for our 25th reunion. It is an invaluable tool for knowledge on classmates. In a note to John Osborne when paying class dues, Nancy advised that Jack had two serious strokes during 1986 and is incapacitated, but despite memory loss he has recall of Dartmouth and the class.. I am sure that a note to Jack and Nancy at 15 Buttonwood Lane in Weston, MA 02193 would be appreciated. The class of 1945 is deeply indebted to them both.
When you read this we will be within five weeks of Class Officers Weekend in Hanover, i.e., spring is just about here. There will be a meeting of 1945 officers at that time, and if you have some thoughts on matters to be considered, let us know. In the meantime, health and happiness to all of you.
