Our talented newsletter editor Art Wilcox and your scribe contact one another frequently, but nevertheless he filed an "annual report" to the class as per birthday card request. It seems he was born in the middle of Newark, N.J., marched in its tricentennial parade in 1916, entered the hardware business in 1926, started retiring in 1970, and now is entirely retired with a full-time job on 1926 SmokeSignals. Praise be!

During the past year the arrival of a greatgrandson was welcomed by Jim and AnneWooster, Upper Montclair, N.J. This year three of their grandchildren are in college, including Chuck '89.

An annual trip to Hanover and Grand Isle, Lake Champlain, is planned by Al andGlad Metzger to see "old friends," before returning to their Covenant Village home, Cromwell, Conn.

A letter from Charlie and AdelynBishop was received shortly after the May class officers Hanover meetings, the first one Charlie ever missed. He has been over a year at Merwick Nursing Home, Princeton, N.J., after his stroke, and would enjoy news from classmates.

Another Green Derby is in the 1926 trophy room due to the untiring work of head agent George Scott, all his workers, and the ever-loyal response of all classmates.

The first treasurer of the class being FredHurd in 1923, it can be said that Ed Raisbeck, Darien, Conn., has become the 11th treasurer in the "Fred Hurd Succession" to fill the vacancy caused by the death of JackBickford. Those who followed Fred were Doug Everett, Obbie Barker, MacMcDavitt, Bob Salinger, Herb Darling,Don Norstrand, Ed Hanlon, Jack Roberts, and Jack Bickford. Five "annual reports" have checked in as follows: Russ andBetty Clark— all well at Hunt Community, Nashua, N.H.; Bruce Eaken, Cleveland, Ohio—thanks for the '26 birthday card, first one to come this year; Chuck Morton, Darien, Ga. at age 85 appears healthy and wishes same to all '26; Dick Mann, Boston, Mass.— neuroma problem persists, keeps close to home; Joe Kinney, Bridgton, Maine—finally indicates he is 100 percent retired.
