Mal Clarke continues to excel in his chosen sport, tennis. Last year he won the National Championship for singles and doubles for 85-year-olds at Longwood. This year he lost in the finals at Santa Barbara (hard court) and at Seattle (indoor). More recently he was scheduled to play in the National Grass Court at Longwood and in the National Clay Court at Myrtle Beach. Great going keep it up!

Mai and Modie Spiegel joined the growing list in 1988 of Dartmouth alumni who have contributed to the Alumni Fund for 60 years. Our congratulations and grateful appreciation to both.

Stanley P. "Stan" Miner passed away on September 20. An obituary will appear in the magazine shortly.

Warren Daniell, head agent, and JohnDana, memorial gifts chairman, attended the 1989 Alumni Fund weekend in Hanover September 22-24. They report that this was a most helpful meeting and that they are ready for the 75 th Anniversary of the Fund Campaign, which began November 1.

The officers and executive committee of 1922 extend warmest holiday greetings to all classmates and to their many, many friends in the larger Dartmouth family.
