Having grown up in New England BobStopford, Boca Raton, Fla., did not miss the opportunity to use the free 14-cent postage stamp provided in the class birthday card, thereby being the first in 1988 to reply with his "annual report" to 1926. He and Dorothy will be in Boston with Dorothy's family for Passover, but the rest of this year's travel plans would swamp our 350 word quota in the Magazine. See Smoke Signals for their further exciting travel news.

Art and Inez Wilcox are enjoying their annual Thanksgiving-to-May-Day winter vacation at Garden City Beach, S.C., with their usual warm weather, now that their once-a-year snow storm has come and gone in one day.

We were sorry to learn that Ruth Carnell, widow of Pren Carnell Jr., died Christmas day, as reported by Pren III '56. Ruth retained her interest in the class, attending recent reunions as in the past, and supporting the class memorial giving program.

Dick and Ruth Nichols, while now officially residents of North Hill lifetime retirement community, will first sell their Wellesley home of 50 years, having already rescued from their attic: one Dartmouth 1926 banner, two 15th Reunion jackets and hats, and one 1926 Aegis. The latter is entrusted to your scribe to offer it to the first classmate who will give it a loving home. Life in a retirement community will not interfere with Dick's visits to his Boston office, for seldom does a lawyer say "case closed."

Last October Morry and Gretchen Storer, Melrose, Fla., were intending to visit their son Tom and family in Boston, but Morry tried a bit of tennis while in Georgia with results that interfered with that trip. So this year, if another trip is planned, the Storers should remember that Boston's nearby suburb of Needham is where Marge Hopkins, the Nicholses, and the Norstrands all will be pleased to welcome them cordially to North Hill.
