Of the ten reunions '33 has had, the 55th was one of the best. Attendance totaled 128, including 10 widows. Bill Hitchcock supervised all events and arranged for the sun to shine, but not for the 95° temperatures.

Our own panel on the presidential election included congressmen John Monagan and Hank Smith, with Jus Stanley moderator. After an overview of party policy, time was spent on the selection of the vice president. John was asked whom he preferred, and he replied "Nunn." Someone asked how he spelled this.

Jeff Davis ran the class meeting, mercifully short, in a non-air-conditioned room. Mannie Sprague reported excellent participation in the Alumni Fund and Bob Niebling announced over $2,300,000 in the Bequest Program, a record. Hank Smith, in Wes Beattie's absence, nominated the following: president, Sprague; vice president, Hitchcock; secretary, Wright; and treasurer, Cunningham; all of whom were elected.

Jack Manchester presided over 1933's gift to the College, a lighted kiosk to be erected in front of Hood Museum.

The class dinner was the high point of the reunion. After a leisurely dinner and greetings from President Freedman, KenSpang moderated a panel discussion of campus issues by a professor and three students, followed by questions from the class about diversity, football, and the Review, which produced lively discussion.
