This is the second part of reunion news. Your secretary got carried away last month and overran the allowable space and the editor reduced dramatically what was submitted.
First, we voted to fund the payment purchase of the memorial books for all the remaining books to the Library.
Secondly, Bud Freeman submitted his treasurer's report showing that we have over $15,000 in the bank. There is also a very sizable amount in the scholarship fund. On top of that we have again oversubscribed the annual Alumni Fund and if we add the donation by Bob Maxwell our class has give to the College since graduation over $16,000,000. We can all stand up and be proud.
Now for a few personal notes. Carlos Sanchez, who was to have given the memorial service with Pete Jones was not present because his sister was seriously ill and he had lost his brother.
The pictures of the College given by Stan Ungar's widow, Mrs. Paul Hunter, were donated to the College. Some other memorabilia from Dick Kershaw's estate were also accepted. Nat Harmon writes from Arizona that because of personal problems of health he could not be with us. Good cheers, Phil, I just saw a woman walking three weeks following a broken hip. Larry and Ginny Miles report that seniority also prevents them from travel. Paul McKown reports he was aboard a Royal Viking off the coast of China. Bettye Sollitt says she has not missed a single reunion. Must be a record. Annette Haigh reports being that special guest at a cocktail part to celebrate her 80th.
Some of the notes were taken from Cap Palmer's green cards which he kindly loaned me. I, too, need information for this column. Please send it along.
