Good news on the short term financial health of DAM, also that there should be no replay of last spring's crisis. Ernie Moore wonders if the Baxter F. Ball listed as a community friend and supporter of Florida Hospital and a resident of Orlando, has moved to Orlando from Bal Harbour. Perhaps we can find out from Barbara and Bee at the Yale game.

George Conklin wrote that Anne and he plan to attend that game, also that he'd heard recently from Ben Hardman.

Confirming earlier rumors was the recent Bequests report that George Nickum had attended the Alumni Council meeting in June. How about getting your comments on proceedings, George?

Al Schumacher finds his contact with the College, except for the newsletter and DAM, to have Decome tenuous. Nevertheless, he feels concern for the apparent loss of fundamentals and values at Dartmouth. I haven't space for Al's lucid comments on Mexico's economy, save for the bad news that Uncle Sam will probably foot the bill, so I'm herewith asking Al to elucidate class- mates on this subject at our 60th Reunion. For those who can't wait and are ready to help the Mexican economy by tourism, Al extends an invitation to entertain you. Telephone, Mexico City 531-8331, same airmail mailing address as in the 1980 directory.

John H. Chamberlin, armed with a fishing permit hand-written in Hebrew, last spring fly-fished the biblical Dan River right at the Lebanon border with son John '63, during a visit Ellen and he made to Israel, surely a first for a '31er!

Ned Campbell reports his grandson's college preference is Dartmouth, class of 1994. Some 150 well-wishers had given Ned a real blast of a partv on an Ohio River riverboat on his 80th birthday.
