The fall chill is definitely in the air and I am already looking forward to beach time next summer. Sometimes I wonder how I ever made it through those Dartmouth winters. November brings, among other things, Election Day. When last heard from, Dave Perkins had won the Democratic nomination for Cumberland County (Maine) district attorney. David, who got his law degree at Boston College, faces Republican Stephanie Henderson in this month's general election.

On the other coast, George Webb has been elected to Milne Construction's Board of Directors. George is president of Harmer Steel Products in Portland. Milne is developing a strategic plan for expanding their services and market areas, so George's M.B.A. from Stanford should come in handy!

There is also news about Thomas A. Smith. Tom is an account supervisor specializing in medical, scientific and technology business at Hawbaker Communications in Pittsburgh. He has been designated a Certified Business Communicator (CBC) by the Business/Professional Advertising Associates. Only 120 people are certified each year in the U.S. This year Tom was the only person certified from the Pittsburgh area I assume this says more about Tom than the rest of Pittsburgh's communicators!

Angela Nesbitt reports from New York that she is leaving TPF&C where she has been for four years since graduating from Wharton Business School. Angela will be joining Mercer in their growing compensation consulting practice. Angela also had news about Tyler Zabriskie, who had returned from points unknown. Unfortunately, we ran out of time on the phone before I could get details, so more on Tyler next month!

Sharon Washington writes that she missed our reunion because of rehearsals for Richard III at the New York Shakespeare Festival in Central Park. (Won't someone tell Sharon her priorities are confused?) Anyway she was co-starring with the "so hot you can't touch him" actor Denzel Washington. As Sharon put it, "I had a great time, and this acting thing seems to be going real well for me." No kidding, Sharon! We'll be able to say we knew her when...

Liz Eldredge dropped a quick note and casually mentioned that she and GeorgeAlexakos are engaged. The date is sometime next spring. Liz is currently in the Boston area doing neurosurgery and George is in the financial services industry. Congratulations, George and Liz, but what does this mean? Summers in Boston, winters in Puerto Rico?

Marcia McCrea Clinton and husband Peter Clinton are still in Hong Kong with son Roarke. Pete has just left Goldman Sachs to join Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong. Marcia and Pete have moved into Evergreen Villa, D16/F, 43 Stubbs Road, Hong Kong.
