What a bonanza of messages for this issue! First, a note from Emilie Palmer of Tavares, Fla., with news of children and grandchildren, and exprssing her hope of attending our 70th. Then a sheaf of notes from Hope Frey, sent to her with class dues. Larry Lovejoy celebrated his 90th birthday with a broken hip and ankle bones, but he writes in apparent good cheer. Helen Pullen, writing from Battle Creek, Mich., mentions "that fine 50th," and comments that "all our men so loved Dartmouth." She was planning to visit her daughter in Arlington, Va. Ted Cart reports several attacks of congested heart failure, but is "going on ...I guess you could call me a survivor."
Eva Hill finds things "quiet and serene" at 20 Dartmouth Street, Rutland, Vt., where she is "just a little creakier." G. DonaldSmith writes from Toledo, Ohio: "As I approach my 94th I have few complaints aside from rather poor eyesight and hearing. Out for a walk most every day." WarrenTurner, who celebrated his 90th birthday on July 4 with a "big bash" in Maplewood, N.J., reports "health not too bad, except I won't be able to read these notes when they appear."
By now, you will have received details of our upcoming 70th Reunion, and we hope as many as possible are planning to make it.
