Unfortunately the class of 1964 news update is not as hot as the weather-80° here on March 13. But our class is clearly not standing still. Pete Thomsen has been elected as a director of the First State Bank and Trust Company in Port Lavaca, Tex. Pete followed Dartmouth to Harvard Business School after which his career brought him to be president of Michigan National Bank and executive vice president of Michigan National Corporation, positions he continues to hold. Derick Denby has been appointed chief financial officer for Telco Communications, Inc. of Seekonk, Mass. He was previously director of administration for Williams Holdings, Inc. of Marlborough, Mass. Derick got his M.B.A. from B.U. following graduation, and is active coaching youth soccer in his hometown in Wellesley, and is a director of the Dartmouth Alumni Club of Eastern Massachusetts. Kevin O'Brien, M.D., has been named corporate director of Gosnold on Cape Cod, a Falmouth-based alcohol and drug treatment center. Kevin had previously been medical director at the Faulkner Hospital Addiction Treatment program in Jamaica Plain. Your class scribe is off with his freshman daughter, Nichole, to Italy to see his son for the school break, then off to Hanover three straight weeks in April and May. Please let me near from you ... or I may have to resort to spreading rumors or facts. You'll no doubt be hearing soon from our class fundraisers. Please continue your generosity to follow up on our 25th-year record. Regards.
