It's always so exciting to see one of our classmates using his or her Dartmouth education as a stepping-stone to an even greater learning experience. Over the past couple of years I've been fortunate enough to relay tales of great scholars pursuing a higher education, be it med school, business school, or whatever.

This month, I'm lucky enough to tell you about a new student at one of the nation's most prestigious seats of knowledge DDU. That's right, Ed Frechette has forsaken the suit-and-tie look of Chicago's ad world for the pink and brown polyester of Dunkin' Donuts University. Ed is the new assistant marketing director for coffee and donuts but first he has to learn that catch phrase "Time to Make the Donuts" in 47 languages. Ed and Ellen and their two and a half children have returned to the Boston area, setting up housekeeping in Medfield.

As usual, the Big East Tournament was a gathering spot for a large number of Big Green alums. On hand for the annual event were Jeff Bechler, Tom Shanahan, Chris Morrison '81, John Connolly '81, Brian Cusack '81, and Brian Hicks '87. Another face in the crowd was Bob Mitchell '87, who is working in the photo department at Sports Illustrated.

A dozen or so Men of Dartmouth gathered together some pocket change and took a trip to Las Vegas to commiserate with President Mike Donahue on the occasion of his upcoming wedding.
