The class of 1995 is arriving on campus this month, and they're taking their "first year" trips and buying the required personal computers. Nine percent are children of alumni, 48 percent are women, 62 percent went to public school, and 23 percent are minorities. They will not find beer on tap, but will meet the new Dean of Students, Lee Pelton from Harvard and Colgate. As they finish their first year at the College, we will be arriving to celebrate our 15th (16th) reunion! Block out June on your calendars now!

And speaking of beer on tap, a news release from Milwaukee announced that Sharon Ali has been named priority marketing relations manager for Miller Brewing Company. She is responsible for the development of black consumer marketing and community relations programs for all Miller brands, as well as the development of Hispanic marketing programs for the company's low-calorie brands and new products. Before coming to Miller, Sharon was product director for McNeil Consumer Products Company, a division of Johnson & Johnson.

Another marketing star, Brad Agry has been named marketing director at Henry Dreyfuss Associates, in New York. Previously he was marketing director at Buder Rogers Baskett Associates.

And still more promotions! Congratulations to David Spaulding, who has been named a managing director of Lehman Brothers Merchant Bank, a unit of Shearson-Lehman and American Express. Martin Karl, who has been with Boston Edison Company since 1981, has been promoted to vice president. He will be responsible for assessing and planning new business opportunities, strategic planning, and for energy resource planning.

There is an airline company that is reporting record earnings while most other lines are suffering major losses. WorldCorp CEO T.Coleman Andrews III has transformed the charter airline into a flying success. WorldCorp provides charter service under both military and commercial contracts through World Airways and its other subsidiary, Key Airlines. It is one of the few companies using aircraft that are convertible from cargo to passenger use. The recent financial turn-around is due in part to the heavy demands for the company's service during Operation Desert Storm—when World Airways ferried troops and equipment to the Middle East—and to major changes at the company itself.

Another success story involves the world of theater and our classmate Paul Lazarus. In January, The Pasadena Playhouse announced that Paul had been chosen as the new artistic director. Paul made a name for himself in New York, working with Stephen Sondheim, among others, as a producer and director. Since arriving in Southern California in 1989, Paul has directed for HBO, NBC (including an episode of "L.A. Law"), and the Playboy channel. Over the summer, Paul directed the West Coast premiere of Cole Porter's "You Never Know," at the Pasadena Playhouse.

Run to the bookstores for Louise Erdrich and Michael Dorris's new novel, The Crown ofColumbus. Out in time for the greatly-promoted quincentenary of Columbus's voyage, the movie option has already been sold and producers chosen! Do they have a director? Are you available, Paul? Maybe you three should "do lunch!"

Next month: Steve Shmanske and DanaRowan, and, if you don't write soon, I'll have to resort to more news about Reggie Williams! It keeps pouring in! Rewards offered for news about the following no-news-is-no-news classmates: Dennis Albaugh, PaulBastek, Jan Baudendistel, Carol VaughnBemis, Chris Bjelland, Steven Bolton,Lynne Brooks, Jay Buder, James Cant, and YOU!!!
