By now the mini-reunion is history, and more than likely Peter Cardozo has recorded the details for posterity in his well-styled '39 Out. This, of course, would include the presentation of the Man-of-the-Year award to New Hampshire's Bill Green. A brief addendum which Peter may not have recounted is that John and Marilyn Perry stopped for lunch with Betsy Emmons on Thursday and took her to Hanover, where the Perrys stayed long enough to attend the executive committee meeting Friday morning before leaving for Vermont to visit relatives.

More than likely Peter has also reported the events surrounding the marriage of DustyRohde to Holly Shriver, an event which took place on September 4 in Kennebunkport, Maine. Bert MacMannis served as best man for Dusty, and Sally made up the entire congregation.

A post-mini gathering of classmates took place in Portsmouth, N.H., at Betsy Emmons's digs. Present were the Tomkins, Rohdes, MacMannises, and Jacksons.

Irv Naitove writes that he spent an enjoyable weekend in Cutchoque, Long Island, in late August. It was a gathering of '38s but also included Bob Schwartz and Bob Alpert.

After Margaret's nasty emergency surgery in February, Rog and Margaret Stanwood celebrated her return to health on a southward cruise from Seward, Alaska, to Vancouver. The Stanwoods eschewed the long trip from Houston to Hanover for the mini, suggesting that traveling on the oversold planes isn't much fun. Roger had a nice phone visit with EdHatrunel, who called from Los Alamos, N.M., about the Alumni Fund.

Andy RuofF dropped us a note from Salt Lake City, advising that he would miss the mini because he is building a home in Tequesta, Fla., which required either his wealth, his time, or both.

Jim Garnett writes that he enjoyed the past winter in southwest Florida thanks to Roy andMillie White. The Naples Club is a '39 minireunion he says. The Garnetts took an Elderhostel biking trip in England which they found enjoyable. January and February will find them returning to Sanibel, Fla.

Jerry Beatty writes that his wife Joann, runs into Dick Baldauf on her morning health walks during the summer. The Bauldaufs live within a mile of the Beattys on Cape Cod. Jerry further reports that Peter Cardozo dropped in en route to Nantucket aboard what Jerry called his "nice sailboat."

We had a nice letter from Jane Kent, wife of the late Bill Kent, recounting how helpful Martie and Junie Merriam were during her time of need after Bill's passing at Sea Island, Ga. Jane says she sees a great deal of Gail andWally Davis in her winter quarters in Gladwyne, Pa. Jane said that Bill, not being much for reunions, had taken her to Hanover only twice, and it was 100 degrees there both times.

Looking for more news from you guys for my next.
