As I begin this November column, the word "turkeys" keeps coming to mind (could be the recent election), While virtually everything in this world, I am pleased to report results from this year's Class Officers Weekend, a constant in 1972 history. First, Gary Dicovitsky upheld a longstanding class tradition of the president attending while the rest of the officers were otherwise preoccupied. For his diligence, Dico was rewarded by being named the Alumni Council rep for the Presidents' Association. The award for Class of the Year did not go to us, nor special recognition (Mr. Congeniality). We did not have the president of the year, newsletter editor, mini-reunion chair, bequest chair (whew!), treasurer, or secretary. In other words, guys, a clean sweep! Unless someone can come up with a winner from the past 20 years, this record has been as constant as the sun in the east in the morning (with all due apologies to Norway, Alaska, etc.).

In a successful election, Charles Schudson was elected to the Wisconsin Court of Appeals on April 7. Judge Schudson (yes, a modicum of respect) is at the forefront of efforts regarding child sexual abuse and battered women. He has testified in front of a U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee as well as several Congressional committees [and was featured in this magazine —Ed.].

In Alpha Theta news, the Mike Sack contingent from Philly and your humble secretary with girlfriend Karen descended upon the Ted Lippmans in the Atlantic City area for a drizzly and sunny day of beach and barbeque. Amid talk of frat brothers, Ross andChrissy Miller came up in conversation. In Austin, Texas, they have a four-and-a-halfyear-old daughter Sarah and a new addition, Matthew. To quote Lip, "She's a lawyer, and he's a Ph.D. in something."

Finally, Barry Weeks was profiled in The Green Gazette, the local alumni mag in N.Y.C. Barry volunteered for ten years after graduation, then became the fulltime director of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of N.Y.C. and the Dartmouth Club in 1982. With 1,100 members nationwide and 3,500 in N.Y.C., the Dartmouth Club is a massive undertaking which includes having close to 30 "events" per year. I can particularly appreciate last November's speakerphone hookup of the WDCR broadcast of the Dartmouth- Princeton football game.

Keep the news coming.
