24 The class had a full complement of officers on hand at Class Officer's Weekend. Robin has already sent you a copy of the minutes in his latest 24-Hour Notice.

A letter from Doug Graham had questions about a statement in my recent obituary of Phil Morse. Doug says that prior to any African hunting, Phil left immediately after graduation to work on a cattle boat from Montreal to Liverpool, along with Don Wilbur and Doug and seven other Dartmouth men. They visited England, France, Switzerland, and Germany. Doug himself now has new quarters in Newport, R.I., and he is "still lucky to be healthy enough to take a lot of cruises."

Margaret Luckey, widow of Bert Perry, writes from Exeter, N.H., about Perry descendents. First there is son Otis and his wife, Amy, who live in Dover in a Victorian farmhouse with chickens, turkeys, sheep, and pigs (a few of each at a time). Otis is a member of the Dover City Council. The grandchildren on the Perry side are Rebecca, Emma, and Andrew Otis. The other child of Bert and Margaret is Belinda, who lives in Santa Fe, N.M. She was married to an Osgood. There are two Osgood grandchildren, Robert and Katie. Belinda is divorced and has resumed her maiden name of Perry but writes western novels under the name of William A. Luckey. Her publisher insisted that no one would buy a western written by a woman. Random House has just come out with the first of Belinda's trilogy set in Civil War-era New Mexico.
