We're looking ahead to another fun-filled minireunion October 22-23, the weekend of the Cornell game. With Vic Schneider's flawless planning, it should be a great event. If you haven't made arrangements to be there, you still have time, but this is the Last Call.

And looking back to another football event, Larry Tennant in Fort Smith, Ark., recounts his short-lived gridiron career when he tried out for right guard on the freshman squad. Larry soon switched to the golf course when he sized up the opposition for his spot, namely one premier lineman called Lou Young.

A weekend last March will long be remembered by Wayne and Glen Hill in Silver Spring, Md., for the surprise celebration of their 50th anniversary, arranged by their four children. It was a weekend of family love and unity which incorporated visits to Wayne and Glen's favorite restaurants, pizza parlor, bowling alley, and church. The four-day event was covered by their photographer son, Wayne Jr. '66, who also presented them with an enlarged framed portrait of themselves. Additionally, some 200 friends and relatives contributed messages in a memory album, and the children also added $1,450 to the Hill's longstanding travel fund which has previously taken them to Australia, New Zealand, and, last summer, to Scandinavia. It was truly a treasured celebration for Wayne and Glen.

A telephone survey of the flooded midwestern states in August produced the following info about some of our classmates. Fortunately, none of those contacted were in trouble from Old Man River and his rampant tributaries. Bill Dau in West Des Moines said they only lost their water supply for one day, unlike the folks in Des Moines proper. Ironically, Bill knows all about water pipes after 35 years as a Roto Rooter franchise owner. He's in good health despite a permanently hoarse voice.

Jack Larigan's home in a suburb of Kansas City was far enough removed from the Missouri to escape flood damage. He retired from Champion International ten years ago and enjoys good health and pretty good golf, according to his son Steve.

Bud Martin in Springfield, Mo., was away from the phone, but wife Mary reported that Bud was well and happy and that they both were 100 miles from die flooding (so much for my geographic knowledge of the American heartland). Bud now enjoys fishing and cards and lets his son operate the car-leasing business that was part of the Martin Motor Co. for many years.

Multiple calls to Norm Jones in Burlington, lowa, went unanswered. So we can only hope that he was out of town and not sandbagging the levees on the Mississippi.

The class owes a Wah Hoo Wah or an Attaboy to John White and his assistant agents whose efforts placed '41 near the top of our group of classes in the Green Derby. Our class may not have the fattest wallets, but our hearts are in the right place (Hanover), and it shows in our solid participation every year. Keep up the good work, men—and the gracious, generous ladies who know how much Dartmouth meant in the lives of their departed loved ones.
