There is a contingent of three '9os with the Organization of American States/United Nations mission in Haiti. Wendy Cue,Laura Gaylord and RandyGordon are all working as human rights observers there. The Mission is part of negotiations to solve the crisis in Haiti and reinstate the ousted President, Jean-Bertrand Aristide.

Wendy worked at Glacier National Park in Montana following graduation and then went to Hong Kong to visit her parents. She then attended the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins in Washington, D.C. During her time at JHU, she spent time studying in Bologna, Italy. In December 1992 she received her master's in international relations with a concentration in Latin American studies.

An April 7, 1993, Washington Post article mentioned that the presence of some observers has led to pro-Aristide demonstrations that the observers' presence made possible. Of course, the opposition forces aren't too happy with the protests. Any first-hand accounts from our classmates in Haiti would be much appreciated.

Jay Davis and Julie Sanders '91 were married at the Lyme (N.H.) Congregational Church on June 26. That's the white church located on the road to the skiway. The venerable Everett of Freshman Trips fame called a square dance the night before the ceremony. Herve Garant was a groomsman. Other '90s in attendance were Susan "Poppet"Seymour, Derek Fowles, Kate Wright,Ginny Eckert, Laura Gaylord, ClaytonGates, and Megan Ryan.

This just in from the White House Press Office: Drew Jones has been working with a team of "efficiency engineers" to "green" the White House. Drew's task: retro-fitting the toilets. He's a water specialist at the Rocky Mountain Institute. I'll bet he has some interesting stories to te11...

Since our graduation Ken Hancock has been working at GCC Technologies in Bedford, Mass., a computer-peripherals manufacturer that specializes in Macintosh-compatible printers. Ken is the manager of the Quick Draw printer group. He sent a post card from his second business trip to Japan. Now enjoying life as a New Hampshire resident again, Ken bought a condo in Nashua last August.

Hometown newspaper news: Julie Clugage recently appeared in The Catholic Voice of Oakland, Calif., in a story about her partici- pation as a volunteer director of marketing operations with the Christian Foundation for Children and the Aging in Guatemala. Julie helps students in a weaving class market their jackets and knapsacks. The money they earn supports the students and their school. Julie got an overseas study project grant from Dartmouth for the project. Send her some hot water—she misses it.

Homecoming's the last weekend in October. If you're going to be in Hanover, be sure to stop by the Young Alumni tent after the game. Hope to see you there.
