There has been a great response to the November newsletter containing the latest information about our 65th. Jerry Sass has received numerous letters not only from those expecting to attend but also from those who can't, for various reasons, but wish they could. In early January there were 30 positive responses promising an attendance of at least 60, including wives and other family members. Contributions have been received to cover most of the cost of accommodations and meals, but more is needed. All of this promises a precedent-shattering reunion for a class of our vintage. Remember, we are the survivors of two world wars, Prohibition (no mean feat), and numerous strange and wonderful changes in College and national administrations:

There do not seem to be any reliable statistics to indicate how many hippies there are in our class. We may be reasonably sure, however, that Curly Prosser is our latest, having gone to the hospital December 10 for repair of a hip. Now Curly is partly plastic, feeling fine, and, when last heard from, was expecting to get out on the ski slopes soon. The aforementioned Jerry Sass has had cataracts removed from both eyes and now claims 20/20 vision. Probably he will get his pilot license renewed, so don't be surprised if he flies his own plane to the reunion. Jerry's wife, Rachel, was so encouraged by his results that she had an operation done also.

I regret to report the deaths of George Holbrook on September 24 and Had Carver on October 31.
