I have been informed that our 50th Reunion chairperson, Jim Von Rohr, is getting in shape by winning ski competitions. Not exactly sure I have the right title, but he won in the NASTAR Budweiser challenge for his age group (Don't ask me the age, please!). And he won, apparently, for his skiing ability, not for drinking Budweiser he may have won that too, but the record is bare on that account.

I spoke to Dr. Joe Kepes. Joe's relaxing down in Sanibel Island, Fla. Summer hes up in Maine, outside of Pordand. Now here's the important part. You want to go to China? Joe s heading up a group to sail down the Yangtze River, September to October 10 this year. This will be his fourth visit to China. There are openings, and if you've got the time and money, sounds great. Starts up around Chongqing (Chungking to you), and then all the way to Shanghai. Joe assures me transportation is not on a "slow boat to China. Sounds exciting. If you think so, call Joe at (813) 472-6617 or write him at 1501 Middle Gulf Drive, Sanibel, FL 33957. Finally, Joe was in Flanover last spring to see daughter Nancy Kepes Jeton '76 receive the Young Alumni Distinguished Service Award.
