TKR Cable Company has announced the promotion of Bill Mitchell to senior vice president of finance. Bill joined TKR in 1985 as the company's controller; he presently manages all accounting, finance, and acquisition endeavor for TKR, which is headquartered in Warren, N.J., and serves more than 600,000 customers in New York, New Jersey, and Kentucky.

Two of our classmates have recently been named to boards of directors. Joe Henley, director of sales for the Acushnet Company's Tideist and Foot-Joy Worldwide operations, recently was elected a member of the board of directors of the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund at the annual meeting of the scholarship fund. Joe and Kim live in Barrington, R.I, and Joe will be advising the Fund on Golf Industry Developments and promotional opportunities. Since its inception in 1949, the Fund has awarded more than $6 million in need-based scholarships to about 2,800 youngpeople who have given three years of service to golf as caddies or as helpers in pro-shop and course-superintendent operations.

Mark Connolly, a vice president of Chubb Life America, has been elected to the board of directors of the Greater Manchester (N.H.) Development Corporation. The private, nonprofit group was created to foster a partnership between public and private interests for the economic development of Greater Manchester.
