After two months off I hardly know where to start, but first an item that just missed the March 15 deadline for May. We're indebted to Faithful reporter Bob Chittim for this about Milt Mclnnes's 89th birthday: Blanche arranged a March 17 party at the Sarasota Yacht Club, attended by offspring, as well as friends from places where they've lived previously, plus a fine 1930 delegation including Julie and Red Gould,Mary and Dean Wiggin (with Dean on his first outing after extensive surgery and anticipating his 93rd birthday in August), Flo Stur-man, Louise Middleton Jack Fitzpatrick,Bob Blanchard, Marge and Bob Chittim and Dot and Ev Low from Naples, who brought Done VanDerbeck from Ft. Myers. A fine day for Milt and St. Patrick.

Bob Chittim followed this with a brief report on tire '30s who attended the Sarasota Dartmouth Club's May 9 luncheon: Red Gould, Bob Blanchard Bob Chittim Louise Middleton and Jack Fitzpatrick, who brought Dean Wiggin.

Suddenly the 1930s have turned autobiographical. I've just received from Dean Wiggin, whom I thank, a nice volume entitled LifeStory of J. Walker Wiggin and subtitled FromFarm Boyhood to World. Travels. I'm going to enjoy it, but this column has to come first. Two other autobiographies have appeared during the past 12 months or so. Very interesting was one written by our high-school dropout, entitled The Life and Science of Max Horwitt. More recently comes The Best Seatin the House, authored by one Pat Weaver. I haven't seen it yet, but Bob Chittim (again) sent me a column from the Sarasota Herald Tribune, and in January I received a letter about it from Charlie Dudley '29. Both recommended tire book highly.

This spring the travel-writing ChuckJacobses took what had to be the ultimate in luxury cruises, on the yacht-like Song of Flower, with 102 passengers and a maximum capacity of only 172—with a well-stocked refrigerator in each cabin and no (NO) tipping. Just phone the Seven Seas Cruise Line, (800) 285-1835.

This summer the Jacobses are taking their fourth Dartmouth Tour, and in '95 they're planning on our 65th.
