In Earlly July The New York Times seemed to be running a regular series of articles on Pilobolus's stint at the Joyce Theater in New York. There was particular attention to nudity in some of the pieces. Mentioned prominently in the article was Robby Barnett, Pilobolus co-founder and current choreographer. The articles were overall very favorable, and focused on the changes back and forth in attitudes towards nudity over the past 23 years. In response to recent changes where the dancers are wearing dance belts and t-shirts, Robby was quoted as saying, "we've caved in part because the nudity is not that important." Are we getting that old?
